Edina Art Fair June 2010

Thanks to everyone coming out to the Edina Art Fair this past weekend. We had perfect weather Friday and Sunday – but Saturday was a challenge. I couldn’t believe how many people attended in the rain! It was a fun event and I appreciated all the great comments about my paintings.
If any of you are interested in some of the pieces, I’ll be posting what is remaining. I do have a studio in Kansas City at the historic Livestock Exchange Building. If you are in KC, let me know… the studio is open by appointment only.

Jurior’s Award – Art at the Center

I’m very proud to announce that I was a recipient of a Jurors Award from the Overland Park – Art at the Center 2009 Juried Art Exhibition. The Jurors were Lewis Nerman from the Nerman Museum of Contempory Art and & Prof. Ann Wiklund from The University of Kansas. While it’s always exciting to be part of a Juried show, it was especially a reward to be acknowledged by these two judges.

Art At Work

“Art at Work” included me in their “Meet the Artist” event at Vintners Cellar, 13011 State Line Road, Kansas City, Mo. on July 18 2007. Our host was most gracious and patrons were able to purchase wine with their favorite artist art work on the label – how cool was that! i was so surprised by all who turned out for the event… I’m still not sure if it was the wine or the art – regardless it was a great evening. If you have a chance stop by for the work will be up till the middle of August.

Thanks to all who stopped in for Open Studios, it was a pleasure to see so many friends and supporters. Showing at
the Incubator was great fun, and I enjoyed meeting so many talented artists and people who support the arts in Kansas City. Thanks for making Open Studios 2004 a success!

The rest of the year I will be busy finishing pieces and starting some new ones. I have some new directions to travel in, and i’m very excited to begin. I’ll post the new work as I finish it.
